Today we took a day of rest. We attended the Laie Hawaii Young Single Adult 1st Stake Conference on campus. It was a nice meeting and we really enjoyed it. We came home after and I went home teaching and then we had dinner with mom's cousin, William Wayland Sheppard and his wife Gloria. They are here serving as volunteers at BYU-Hawaii teaching some classes. Wayland is named after Grandpa Sheppard and is Uncle Shorty's son. We had a great visit with them. After dinner, we enjoyed some fried banana and berry lumpias with some ice cream.
Dad outlasted Wayland by eating one more than him. They dipped them in coconut syrup. We had a great time visiting.
